How well did the facilitator lead the group and create a safe space? Please explain and give examples.
Very well, using warm and engaging presence. Invited participants to provide their experiences, thus validating their input and value to the class.
How well did the facilitator explain this Skill using the PowerPoint presentation? Please give examples.
Good description of Blue Sky slide, including not holding onto or avoiding thoughts/mental states, and impermanence. Good tying back to sparks as thoughts that are impermanent. Also using language to telegraphed upcoming skills. Did well describing roiling surface of the ocean metaphor, and the serenity at the ocean's depths. Would have been even better had the depth/serenity slide been advanced during the transition of description.

Wonderful additional metaphor using reference to "snowballing" as seen in cartoons where a character starts at the top of the snow-covered mountain and then ends up being encased in an ever-growing snowball, skis and all. That was a good segue into setting up the Spark to Forest Fire activity. Took good advantage of participant input to tie back into "the pause" between beneficial and harmful mental states from an earlier slide. Used an excellent comparison to an image seen elsewhere of the fire in the box, containing and depriving a fire of its fuel and well as suggesting the needed pause, to reinforce the spark-to-forest fire concept. Overall, good weaving of participant feedback into the recap.
