By engaging your participants and making them feel seen, you did a wonderful job in creating a safe space. You provided a great structure of those slides you presented and created a safe space through that, so that everyone was prepared to what was planned to happen..
You did an excellent job when facilitating compassion and its three components. Your questions "why would we need three components" was a great conversation starter . You allowed space for a wonderful discussion and provided great explanations yourself. I particularly appreciated your explanation on the "holistic view on suffering - inward and outward suffering".
Your self-invented activity on the eight worldly concerns has been wonderful. You made the participants confront themselves with the questions directly. Even participants who might not be that open to this thinking model, might grasp that in fact they do have attachments and aversions. When directly being asked "hands-on" to evaluate where they are. You did a fantastic job in explaining how thinking traps are closing down our view and perspective and are therefore a huge obstacle on achieving empathic concern or compassion.
You are guiding your participants in a wonderful and professional way, which reveals not only your understanding of the material but also your acknowledgement of the group.
