How well did the facilitator lead the group and create a safe space? Please explain and give examples.
Priscilla is very welcoming in her delivery to the group and that makes the participants feel very comfortable and safe with her.
How well did the facilitator explain this Skill using the PowerPoint presentation? Please give examples.
Priscilla did a great job of explaining cultivating forgiveness. The slides were used to create the context for what Priscilla was sharing with the group. Specifically the use of the slides for cultivating forgiveness and gratitude. The only suggestion is to ask more questions through these slides. It is always best to ask people what they think these concepts mean first, and then share how CIT defines them.

What aspects of this Skill did you think the facilitator did exceptionally well? Please give examples.
Priscilla did an excellent job of acknowledging the contributions of the group to the conversation. This acknowledgment is so important to keep the conversation flowing and Priscilla did this exceptionally well. Teresa and Michaela both made comments that Priscilla acknowledged with care and positive regard. Priscilla also did an excellent job asking people for examples from their own lives, which made the conversation go deeper.
How well did the facilitator lead the Contemplative Practice in this Skill? Please explain and give specific examples.
What aspects of this Skill could the facilitator improve? Please give examples.
We really want to facilitate the sessions rather than teach or lecture. It is sometimes difficult to do when we have information we want to share, however, allowing folks to come to their own conclusions about the information we share is very important. As you were explaining the steps to cultivate gratitude and forgiveness you provided details and information first; allowing folks to share their thoughts and insights about the skill first allows them to lead the conversation and share their feedback setting the tone for the conversation.
