Using the power point slides as a guide to the content is important as it helps to keep the facilitator on target. The slides also help participants better understand the concepts and material as they can put words together with pictures in many cases for a better grasp of the material. Don't be afraid to use the slides as a reference point to keep you focused and on point.

Try to facilitate more rather than lecture or be instructive. We want folks to come to their own conclusions about the material. Ask questions of the participants to help draw out their thoughts and impressions.
At points the presentation was disjointed and hard to connect the dots, try to "know your story" from start to finish so you can connect the dots to the different parts of the presentation.
