Margarida and her co-facilitator did a great job of this from moment one. She was welcoming and immediately introduced herself and her co-facilitator letting us know from the beginning they were a team and wanted us to be with them. Excellent.

How well did the facilitator explain this Skill using the PowerPoint presentation? Please give examples.

The slides were used in a very appropriate manner to help facilitate conversation and keep the session moving the way it was intended. The slides were used to enhance dialogue and conversation and help participants understand the concepts by putting words and pictures together for greater understanding.

How well did the facilitator explain and lead the activities in this Skill? Please explain and give specific examples.

Margarida did a great job explaining the activity (as if we were going to actually do it). The explanation was clear and she asked for understanding before we were "released" to do that activity.

How well did the facilitator lead the Mindful Dialogues and Reflective Writing Exercises in this Skill? Please explain and give specific examples.

Great job explaining the mindful dialogue and how they would be done as well as the guidelines for doing them. That review is important.

What aspects of this Skill did you think the facilitator did exceptionally well? Please give examples.

It was clear that Margarida and her partner worked together to coordinate in advance. They were a great team. The recognition of the participants when they provided thoughts, comments, stories, experiences, or feedback was well done. That also helped to create the safe space for the group. Individual recognition is important to help all participants feel like they are contributing members of the group.
Silence is your friend and you did a great job of letting there be silence in the group while they processed information and formulated their responses.

What aspects of this Skill could the facilitator improve? Please give examples.

These was not a significant challenge for Margarida and her partner, more of a general comment:
Monitoring time is a skill that will come with time and practice. Every group is different and will take some practice to figure out what information can be shortened or how a session can be modified depending on the "talkative" nature of the participants.
Open ended questions help to keep conversation and dialogue moving forward.
