The use of the power point slides as a help to guide the progress of the program could be improved. The use of the slides helps to keep the conversation on target and provides concrete examples of discussion content including definitions of the concepts which help to reinforce them for participants.

Barbara did a great job with the check in and asking the participants the three concepts from skill 1 which helped to reinforce the concept. The recognition of the participants when they provided thoughts, comments, stories, experiences, or feedback was excellent. That also helped to create the safe space mentioned above. Individual recognition is important to help all participants feel like they are contributing members of the group.

Monitoring time is a skill that will come with time and practice. Every group is different and will take some practice to figure out what information can be shortened or how a session can be modified depending on the "talkative" nature of the participants.
Knowing what is on the slides so you can reference them is important so we don't miss anything in our explanations.
