|Skill||Skill 4: Self-Compassion|
How well did the facilitator lead the group and create a safe space? Please explain and give examples.
You did a great job connecting the skill from last week to this week. "What is the purpose of placing self-compassion here" was a great way to start the group and allow the participants to create their own links between the sessions.
How well did the facilitator explain this Skill using the PowerPoint presentation? Please give examples.
The use of the power point slides was efficient and used as a guide rather than the whole explanation.
How well did the facilitator explain and lead the activities in this Skill? Please explain and give specific examples.
The explanation of the activity was very clear and easily understood by the group. Your questions to process the activity at the end were also very well done. The questions did not sound rehearsed and robotic but sincere.
How well did the facilitator lead the Mindful Dialogues and Reflective Writing Exercises in this Skill? Please explain and give specific examples.
What aspects of this Skill did you think the facilitator did exceptionally well? Please give examples.
Shane is very warm, welcoming and personable! The fact that you were in a public place and dealing with all the challenges around you, and still managed to present the skill well is a tribute to you (and your determination perhaps 🙂 ). The environment was less than ideal for you and you did an outstanding job. You make the group feel comfortable and safe. Your recognition of the participants and their contributions is very important and you did that exceptionally well.
How well did the facilitator lead the Contemplative Practice in this Skill? Please explain and give specific examples.
What aspects of this Skill could the facilitator improve? Please give examples.
You are going to be a great facilitator, Shane.
